Her academic career started at UGM in 2005 after earning her doctoral degree in chemical engineering at West Virginia University, WV, USA, and completing her postdoctoral training in biological engineering at Cornell University, NY, USA. In addition to her current leadership role in UGM, she is an active researcher with extensive partnerships with industries and national/international collaborators. International awards, such as L'Oreal for Women in Science Fellowship, Schlumberger’s Faculty for the Future Fellowship, ASEAN-US Science and Technology Fellowship for science-based policymaking, and several national awards highlight her scientific track records. Twenty years of establishing her academic network build a strong foundation of innovative strategies in her managerial role, such as industrial/community link-and-match programs, consortium-based collaborations, internationalization-at-home programs, etc.
